De Sports Minister then claimed ignorance ..... an' say eh know about dat ...... and how ...... if even dat is so ..... dat dat eh nuttin ...... cuz de ting is ah symbol of national pride ...... an' yuh cyah put ah price on national pride ...... an' de Flag priceless ...... an' who vex lorse ....... right ....... BULLSHIT!
Den ...... still breakin under continuin pressure ...... and starting tuh talk even more phenomenal shit ...... he then signs on to his FACEBOOK profile ...... yes ....... FACEBOOK!! ...... and advises that the actual cost is in fact $15,800 (VAT exclusive) ...... now why de arse is he quoting a cost without de VAT ...... I guess fuh de figure tuh look smaller ...... right ....... GENIUS!
Next day in de papers now ...... dey kyna confirm his foolish talk ..... reportin dat it did in fact cost $18,112.15 (VAT inclusive) ...... so cool ..... seems like Trinis was jus up tuh mischief again ...... making up ting tuh talk about ....... great ...... it eh really cost no $2,000,000 ...... right ...... PHEW!
A A ...... last night on de news now ....... what I go hear as de news start ...... "Confirmed - de Flag really cost $2,000,000"!!!
Well lawd ....... de bacchanal get ah relapse ..... an' reach front page today ...... wit a full breakdown of ...... how a 'symbol of national price (ooooops ah mean 'pride') ...... in de form of ah Flag ..... come tuh cost $2,000,000 ...... and it went ah lil sumtin like dat ......
Now other than the fact ..... dat as dis new mark buss ..... Mr. Minister Facebook page suddenly shut down ..... what I not understanding is dis ......

doh fuhget that this whole FLAG is a recurrent expense eh... every so often they have tuh replace d flag... i wonder if they recycling the old ones... we could use it fuh football... if the SOCA Warriors ever look like qualifying fuh d world cup we could do it like dem international clubs and cover a whole section with a big flag...

Scene, to be a successful flag engineer I think you would have to be known to certain Hunters. This man look like he Hunt down the best flag engineer in the business.
But Mr. Hunt did say we might be angry now but over time, we will grow quite fond of the flag.

Well yes, $2 million and counting .... You know, that money could start to provide steady running water to Morvant (my hometown), Laventille and many MANY other areas that are not given due consideration. Yes friends, improve infrastructure that we can be proud of.
Now THAT my fellow Trinis would be National Pride. Kick rocks to a blasted flag in the stadium yes.

This minister is a certified idiot or he thinks we are. I find it difficult to imagine that with everything else that going on like crime, inflation, inferior healthcare, etc that some ministers in d Cabinet sit down and thought....hear what, let's buy a $2M flag as a symbol of national pride and give d contract to a fireworks company. Yeah, that will go down good with d population. And d PM as d head of d Cabinet say...Yeah boys, good idea.
