So last nite I went tuh bed as WUZDESCENE ...... dat lil insignificant narcissitic idiot blogger ..... who eh really have no life ...... and who does read papers whole day ..... and crap on de shit in it ..... and who does every now an' den ..... leave de hermit world dat she livin in ..... and venture out into de real world ...... and crap on shit dey too!!!
Then .....
Dis morning now ..... strangely ...... I get up as ...... Perez Hilton! ...... a narcissistic idiot blogger too ...... who real like tuh gossip ..... and real like tuh out people (mainly celebrities) an' ting ...... and who does get real flack fuh doin it!
...... and how did this happen you ask?
Well ..... yesterday ..... I write a post about YUMA and dey band launch ...... and apparently ...... a certain X Miss TnT ..... who name get call ...... didn't like what I say bout she ..... actually ..... leh meh doh butter it up ..... in her own words ..... she is today ...... VERY VERY VERY EXTREMELY unhappy!!!!
..... and how do I know this you ask?
*Sigh* ..... because meh blasted phone only blasted vibratin whole blasted day ..... if it eh ah text ..... is ah call!!!
Now I eh goin an' add no fuel tuh de fire ....... and post de acutal text or BBM dat she been sendin out tuh de Universe ..... cuz dat eh go make no sense ..... as far as she concern ..... I was wrong ...... and as far as I concern ..... two wrongs doh make ah right!!
...... so exactly what was I wrong about you ask?
Well ..... according tuh X Miss TnT ..... I was wrong ..... because she DID email me!!! ..... and I never replied ..... I was wrong because she also tweeted ..... and I never replied (I not on twitter) ...... I was wrong ...... because clearly she did her job to the best of her ability ...... and by simply and nonchalantly stating that I never heard from her ..... she felt like I was attacking her efficiency ..... and bashing her good name and good reputation ..... which ..... apparently ..... as of yesterday ..... was a perfectly unblemished PR reputation ...... so simply put ...... tuh her ..... is like I real @#$%-up she scene!!!
Now here's the thing about us narcissistic idiots ......
Sometimes ..... we really doh tink about other people ...... sometimes we does jus be in our own little world ...... in we own self-important bubble ..... sometimes ...... de entire country could be floodin out ..... and all we studyin still ..... is WE ..... cuz altho everything I wrote was FACT .... and not GOSSIP ..... or FICTION ...... altho I accepted the fact that clearly shit happened ..... not once did I stop tuh tink that mentioning it ....... woulda cause de complete crumble of X Miss TnT's PR career!!! ...... because again .....
IT WAS ALL ABOUT ME!!!!
...... it was about ME being silly at the prospect of somebody
actually wanting to invite me to someting!
...... it was about ME feelin like a bloggin celebrity!
...... it was about ME getting BLANK in de end!!
...... it was about ME laughing at ME!!!
...... It was never about YOU ..... X Miss TnT!!!
But yuh know what ..... every day we learn someting new ..... and as I always say ..... feelings aren't right or wrong ..... they're just that ..... FEELINGS .....
So what exactly did we learn today you ask?

and secondly .....

(whether an email was sent to me or not ...... I DID NOT GET IT!)
Trust me X Miss TnT ..... it ain't dat bad ..... anybody can bounce back from a supposed 'scandal' like this ..... all yuh need is some good PR!

Scene, I read the last two posts like a novel, and as I said before, your blog is Amazing!
People in the ego industry are sometimes sensitive but egos are what makes celebrities who they are. The fact that they take themselves seriously 24/7 is to be expected and why we enjoy celebrities.

My take on it is this .....
If you are a public figure ..... then yuh name gettin call anywhere shouldn't be no scene ..... which is why I really didn't tink twice about sayin de name ......
But ..... at de same time ..... I respect that she wanted it removed ..... and that is why I removed it ..... cuz if was me ..... I woulda run ah mock if I had see my name somewhere dat I doh want it tuh be ......

I like your version of the meaning of YUMA better...because that Young and Upwardly Mobile ting bound to piss people off eventually. I think if she had say one more unhappy I woulda believe her, 3 unhappys just make me tink she was being ridiculous. But that is just me.

Like all the Bloggers in Trinidad and Tobago were in YUMA launch. Great post and as always you had me cracking up. I also attended the launch. Only thing is that I did park in King George V, but I got there after you and passed through the hedge without a problem.
Anyways, I vex, because I seeing this bacchanal on twitter whole day, but I have been so busy all day that I couldn’t follow it properly. So tonight, when I re-read the first post to the end, I was expecting to see the world of negativity. Unless you amended it, didn’t you say that the costumes were nice and big up the designers? Better you than me yes. Because people are missing what blogging is about. It is not about being accurate, impartial and unbiased. It is about somebody usually not trained formally in journalism, but trained in talking plenty and expressing their opinion usually honestly not tactfully. If you don’t like the opinion of the blogger Microsoft gave us a little red X in the top right hand corner of the screen use it and move on. Steups.

I saw the whole thing going down on Twitter. Seriously bruised egos there. They want to play up in social Media but forget that SM does filter out BS and pushes the truth (Well most of the time) to the surface.

Okay I don't profess to be Marguerite Gorden but I do seem to remember that even if you email an invite it still needs to be mailed ( regular post office mail) or hand delivered and just for the reason you describe. Email goes astray. I'm surprised a follow up call wasn't made to ensure you got it.
Wow talk about blowing something out of proportion. I did not get the impression from your post at all that you were cut up about not getting the invite. You simple related a story as it happened from your point of view. She contacted you you did not get the invite. How else were you to say that? Blogging is journal writing NOT journalism!

The funny thing is I wasn't even studying homegirl --- I studying the COSTUMES. That's the focus, not HER. And I know I'm not the only one.
Hear nah, all chick had to do was tell you in a civil and professional manner that the email was sent but apparently something went wrong and to please make a simple correction to that on your blog. End stories.

"Yes, it's a shame it didn't work out Ms.Scene, maybe next event",
"I hope you enjoyed our launch nonetheless",
"Smooches".
Something like that.
That's what I would have done if I were in Miss Queen's position. But then again I'm grown and that's the difference. Hopefully she'll learn with time and maturity.
